Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (EVTOL) technology

One of the regular clients of Promax, asked to perform a State-of-the-Art search for brushless motors utilized in Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (EVTOL) technology, while focusing on two structural configurations of the motors. This analysis aimed to encompass all recent patent filings, research endeavors, and product advancements within the specified technology domain, while also pinpointing areas of potential innovation for the client's Research and Development (R&D) efforts. Spanning two decades of historical data, Promax shortlisted and scrutinized both established and emerging players, and researchers in the field, unearthing previously undisclosed contributors to the EVTOL brushless motor landscape, identifying a researcher from a Japanese university with more than 10 research papers published on the focused structural configurations of the motors. The research papers were published in native Japanese language, discovered by the Promax search team using their multilingual search capabilities and tools. The findings were categorized and augmented with a hierarchical index, facilitating easy navigation and understanding. A summary chart was submitted, offering an all-rounded overview of assignees, publication counts, and feature-specific breakdowns, streamlining the key insights for the decision makers. The Japanese research papers highlighted in Promax's final report proved instrumental in the decision-making process.
